Celebrating my painting at it's new owners house. It really looked good and the most important .... They love it : )
It was such an eventful day, full of laughter, great company and feeling proud. Here, with the great mentors at Old Mill Toronto.
For many years in business and providing great service this deli shop needed an update to it's overall presentation. Repainting dated mural with rich burgundy created cozy atmosphere and appetite for an amazing food. Also mounting long mirrors on the wall visually widen the space, reflected contemporary pendants, and added additional spark to the interior. Custom designed quartz counter top finished the pleasant presentation of the place transforming it from deli to deli boutique. The store changes its seasonal decorations regularly with high end arrangements.
This penthouse kitchen needed "lift" to look more current and attractive. Owner asked for keeping an existing cupboards.
Replacing dark thin, and poorly finished granite for 1.5" thick white quartz, added elegant and fresh form to the space. Also, exchanging the backsplash by modern glass and silver mosaics made it tiny space masculine and inviting. Simple and contemporary pendants with warm light complemented sophisticated appearance along with the modern leather stools.
Owner loved his new kitchen and the fact that finally it became pleasant place to entertain at.
In my “Spanish Temptation” restaurant I used cobble stones as a reminder of past times, and complementary contrast of high saturated red and yellow to enhance the connection with its ethnic origin.
Lower key grey on the walls introduces modern flare, where used alone with rich, high saturated red, one of the national colours, not only will call for attention, but also will impact and increase guests’ appetites, raise their energy and fill them with excitement.
The use of rustic wood finish on the floor and tables will create an ambience of pre-owned, imparting a sense of historical origin. Yellow, another flag colour, used in a quartz bar countertop creates area of optimism, playfulness and provide an uplifting aura.
Modern chandeliers, repeated often along the space, with a dimmer option, will enhance and establish lighting that not only invites but can be adjusted for different occasions. Modern, red, fiber glass chairs are easy to maintain, and softly insinuate the innovative, creative and open minded nature of Spanish culture.
The art in form of photographs of flamenco dancers, in their red dresses, composes pleasant presentation to look at, as well as combines tradition with a modern edge.
It was just amazing to see , how this tiny condo turned out to much bigger space after being furnished. When I saw it for the first time , it looked like it can be the space for one person only, without options for hosting more the one. After creating comfortable sitting area and island ;serving four, "wrapping it up" with warm oranges, it became cozy and inviting space, ready to entertain. Was sold in one month for asking price.
Invited for colour consultation, to help prepare condo for the market, I suggested more complex staging. Since I know the area, targeting certain buyer was very important . After total transformation, the owner decided to keep the place for another few years. After tree years of enjoying the penthouse, he sold it for asking price , were keeping all furnishing and décor was requested by the new owner.
